I bought this mainly for evenings when I don't want the overhead lights on. The warm glow is comfortable, the touch controls are straightforward and the cordless design means I can put it wherever it looks best rather than wherever there's a socket. It's ended up being a surprisingly useful little lamp.
We've been using these on our dining table instead of candles and I love the effect. They give enough light to see comfortably without making dinner feel overly bright, and because they're rechargeable there are no cords running across the table. I also like that we can pick them up and move them outside when we're sitting on the balcony. They have become one of those small things we use far more often than expected.
We recently had friends over and used a couple of these along the dining table. The warm light made the whole setup look much nicer than the ceiling lights, and being cordless meant we could position them wherever we wanted. Since then I've also been using one on my desk and occasionally outside when we're having a drink on the balcony.
