A woven entrance mat with a dense, stiff pile that actually takes dirt off shoes.
The pile is firm enough to work into the tread of a shoe and lift out grit rather than letting it track across the floor behind you. That is the whole job of a doormat, and most of them do it badly.
It is woven from polypropylene, which is what lets it live outside properly. It will not rot, it does not shed fibre across the doorstep, and the colour holds under Australian sun. When it needs cleaning you hose it down and stand it up to dry.
The warm woven texture and natural tone sit against timber, tile, brick and concrete without trying to match anything, which is what you want at an entrance.
Three sizes, from a single door through to a wide entry or a double doorway.

The woven pile is stiff enough to work into the tread of a shoe and lift out grit rather than letting it track across the floor behind you. Firm underfoot, and it holds that firmness through a wet winter.
Refined details
Considered in every detail
The parts you notice once the piece is already in the room.
Stiff woven bristles
A dense pile that scrapes rather than wipes, which is what gets grit out of a shoe tread instead of pushing it around.
Bound edges
Finished around all four sides so the pile holds together and the mat does not fray after a season of being walked on.
Built for the weather
UV stable and rot proof, so it can sit on an open doorstep through rain and summer sun without going soft or losing its colour.
Materials
Woven polypropylene
Polypropylene is spun and woven into a stiff, hard wearing pile with the warm tone and texture of a traditional entrance mat. Unlike a natural fibre it will not rot, shed across the doorstep, or soften in the rain, so it holds up on an uncovered entry.

Very close, but each piece carries its own character. Handcrafted ceramics, natural timber and woven fibres vary slightly in tone, grain and texture, so no two are identical.
How do I care for it?
Timber and ceramic pieces wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Textiles follow the care note in the specifications above, generally a gentle cold machine wash for covers and throws. Woven baskets are best kept out of prolonged damp.
What exactly is included?
Everything included is listed in the specifications above. Cushions are supplied as covers only unless stated otherwise, vases are sold without stems, and baskets are sold without plants or liners.
How do I style it?
These pieces are made to sit together. Ceramics and trays work in odd numbers on a shelf or console, throws look best loosely draped rather than folded, and baskets earn their place in a corner where they can be seen as much as used.
How is it packed for delivery?
Every piece is inspected before it leaves us and packed with protection around any ceramic or glass components, then shipped with tracking. If anything arrives damaged, email us a photo and we will sort it out.
How long will delivery take?
Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days, and arrive within 4 to 9 business days in total, to both Australia and the United States. Shipping is free to both, with no minimum spend.
How do I get in touch?
Email us at info@muyva.com. We aim to respond within 1 to 2 business days, Monday to Friday.

I bought this after looking at a few different options and I'm glad I chose this one. It sits neatly outside our door, and it also sits neatly outside our door. We've been using it regularly and it has fitted into the space really naturally. Overall I'm very happy with how it looks and performs.

It's decent and it looks welcoming at the front door, but mine took a day to sit completely flat and it shed a few fibres at first. It does the job, although the overall experience could have been better.
