A soft diatomite mat that takes the water off your feet and dries itself out between showers.
Hard diatomite boards work, but they are cold underfoot, they crack if you drop something on them, and they look like a bathroom appliance. This is the soft version. It rolls up, it is warm to stand on, and the surface still pulls water away on contact rather than sitting wet the way a towelling mat does.
The pattern is tone on tone rather than printed, so it reads as texture against tile instead of as decoration. A rubber backing grips wet floors.
Four patterns and three sizes.

Water comes off your feet on contact and the surface pulls it away rather than holding it. By the time the next person is in there it is dry, which is the thing a towelling mat never manages in a bathroom with no window.
Refined details

The parts you notice once the piece is already in the room.
Soft, not a slab
Hard diatomite boards work but they are cold to stand on and they crack if you drop a bottle on them. This one rolls up, and it is warm underfoot.
Grips a wet floor
A rubber backing holds it flat on tile, which matters most on the one surface in the house where slipping has consequences.
Pattern, not print
Tone on tone throughout, so it reads as texture against tile rather than as a decorated mat. Four patterns, all in the same natural tone.
Materials
Four patterns, one tone
Concentric, Fine Line, Frame and Wave. All in the same natural tone, so the choice is about how much texture you want on the floor rather than what colour the bathroom becomes.

Dimensions and specifications
Sized for the room, not the catalogue
40 x 60cm sits in front of a basin or a shower screen. 50 x 80cm is the one most people want beside a bath. 60 x 90cm covers a wider run or gives you room to stand and dry off properly.
Very close, but each piece carries its own character. Handcrafted ceramics, natural timber and woven fibres vary slightly in tone, grain and texture, so no two are identical.
How do I care for it?
Timber and ceramic pieces wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Textiles follow the care note in the specifications above, generally a gentle cold machine wash for covers and throws. Woven baskets are best kept out of prolonged damp.
What exactly is included?
Everything included is listed in the specifications above. Cushions are supplied as covers only unless stated otherwise, vases are sold without stems, and baskets are sold without plants or liners.
How do I style it?
These pieces are made to sit together. Ceramics and trays work in odd numbers on a shelf or console, throws look best loosely draped rather than folded, and baskets earn their place in a corner where they can be seen as much as used.
How is it packed for delivery?
Every piece is inspected before it leaves us and packed with protection around any ceramic or glass components, then shipped with tracking. If anything arrives damaged, email us a photo and we will sort it out.
How long will delivery take?
Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days, and arrive within 4 to 9 business days in total, to both Australia and the United States. Shipping is free to both, with no minimum spend.
How do I get in touch?
Email us at info@muyva.com. We aim to respond within 1 to 2 business days, Monday to Friday.

Happy with it. The edges took a day or so to sit completely flat after unpacking.
We wanted something simple that would improve the space without changing everything. It it dries noticeably faster than our old bath mat, and it also it dries noticeably faster than our old bath mat. Very happy with it.
We wanted something simple that would improve the space without changing everything. It it keeps the floor around the shower much drier, and it also the surface absorbs water quickly. Very happy with it.
I was mainly trying to get rid of the damp fabric mat that always seemed to be hanging around our bathroom. This has been a much better option. It takes the moisture off your feet quickly, looks tidy and is usually dry again well before the next shower.
