A ridge line, lit from within.

The Ridge does two things at once. A recessed downlight sits inside the open frame and washes the ground at your feet, while a mountain range silhouette cut into the lower panel glows warm from behind. From down the path you read the ridge. Standing beside it, you get usable light where you are walking.

Run them in pairs to mark an entry, or space them along a path, a driveway or the edge of a garden bed. The stainless steel body carries a matte black finish that recedes almost completely in daylight, so the fitting only announces itself after dark.

Our outdoor pieces are built for exposure, and the IP rating for this one is listed in the specifications above. Check that rating against where you plan to mount it, since a sheltered entry and a fully exposed wall are different jobs.

The specifications above state which. Solar pieces need no wiring at all and charge from daylight. Hardwired pieces run from mains power and must be installed by a licensed electrician.

A position that gets several hours of direct sun gives the best runtime. Expect shorter runtime through winter, in shaded spots, or after a run of overcast days, which is normal for any solar light rather than a fault.

Fixings and instructions are included. Solar and stake pieces go up in minutes with no wiring. Hardwired sconces and bollards need a licensed electrician, and the specifications above tell you which type this is.
